Telemundo Unveil Digital Skyscraper Soccer Salute at Miami Worldcenter
Telemundo Television kicks off the World Cup Soccer tournament with the World’s Tallest Digital Skyscraper Soccer Salute at Miami Worldcenter.
It is at the 700-foot-tall Paramount Miami Worldcenter tower, in downtown Miami.
That is where Telemundo, the official Spanish-language broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup Tournament, is lighting-up the network’s iconic “T” symbol and the slogan, “La Casa Del Mundial.” (Home of the World Cup).
The 60-story superstructure gleams with a super-sized animated ball-juggling soccer player overlooking “The Magic City.”
The building also glows with the crowd-shouting victory cheer, “Gooooll!”
Greeting the hundreds of thousands of soccer enthusiasts converging on South Florida for eight matches is the massive message, “Bienvenidos A Miami.”
It is embedded in a moving mosaic of flags representing the 48 countries competing in the tournament.
“Whether traveling by car, train, airplane, or ship, when people see the Paramount Miami Worldcenter, they know they’ve arrived to Miami,” says Matthew Falcone, Miami Worldcenter’s Chief Operating Officer.
He adds, “The Miami Worldcenter’s signature skyscraper is composed of five-miles of wires, connected to 13,400 light emitting diodes, embedded in thousands of panes of glass. The $3-million lighting system, which took 12 technicians three years to design and install, can create 16-million color combinations.”
World Cup Events
During the World Cup tournament, Miami Worldcenter will be adorned with 48 flags lining the project’s six-blocks-long paseo.
All Miami Worldcenter merchants are hosting “watch parties,” staging giveaway contests, and offering refreshment and dining specials, according to Falcone.
“As Telemundo’s home base, Miami embodies the energy, diversity, and deep-rooted passion for fútbol that defines our audience,” says Claudia Chagui, EVP, Marketing and Strategy at Telemundo. “The design and installation of this soccer salute at Miami Worldcenter is our way of kindling that spirit to life — transforming a shared love of the game into a collective experience that unites our community.”
Chagui adds, “The FIFA World Cup 2026 has a unique ability to connect people across cultures and generations, and we’re proud to celebrate that connection and the role Telemundo and Miami Worldcenter play in bringing fans closer to the game they love.”
